Archery Event with WRAP

Existing and some new members of WRAP staff joined us for a morning of Archery at our site at the Organic Farm, Cirencester. The event was directed towards fostering good working relationships and team work and also encouraging the staff to hit the targets of the company, in this case specifically geared towards reducing the UK’s waste levels, a mission close to our hearts here at Wild Connections.  The morning’s activity was followed up by a wonderful lunch at the highly rated Organic Farm Shop Cafe.

Everyone had a fantastic time, all achieving a high level of success, including several who had been to an archery event previously, “failed dismally” and told Duncan that the Instructors had “given up” on them. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Duncan had them hitting the target and even scoring in the bull’s eye before the event was over! Here’s just some of the extremely positive feedback from the event:-

“AB FAB!”

“A really fun morning learning new skills.”

Thanks for a great session, I really enjoyed it and will try to arrange a repeat trip
with some friends in the future."

“Very enjoyable”.

“Fantastic.”

“I had a great time at your venue, as I know my colleagues did as well."

"Very good.”

“Excellent, even though I wasn’t!”

Fire by FrictionThe race is on!Grand Designs

Bushcraft & Nature Awareness Day with Air Designs

The staff of Air Designs approached us to organise an alternative Christmas Party during their weekend stay in the Cotswolds, at Middle Stanley Farm set in the rolling hills around Winchcombe.  This wonderful property provided the perfect setting for bushcraft and nature awareness activities in their nearby woodland, with panoramic views all around.

Split into small groups, everyone enjoyed a spirit of jovial competition, especially in their steely determination to be the first group to master fire by friction.  A navigation treasure hunt brought great excitement, with the discovery of the treasure sparking responses akin to kids on Christmas morning discovering their first parcel under the tree!  Add in a spot of "grand designs" with shelter building and a touch of nature awareness and a fun three hours was had by all.

"Everyone really enjoyed it - the fire making being an obvious highlight. It was a shame that the badger set had been filled in, as that would have been really interesting to see. You also seemed to have a lot of knowledge about the kind of animals and plants that would be in the area - if there was more time it would have been interesting to have more focus on that as well.  Thanks again for a great afternoon, all the best for the new year."

Middle Stanley Farm offers fabulous accommodation in a beautiful setting, with great conference facilities and plenty of land for any or all of our activities.  To find out more please click here.
